The Institute of Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is a state-of-the-art plastic and reconstructive surgery facility built on the belief that the environment of our patients has a profound effect on their well-being and recovery. Accreditations and Technology

The Institute of Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery is the first office-based surgery center in Boulder County to be accredited for cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and otolaryngology by the national Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). In addition, Dr. Schmid maintains hospital privileges for all of the procedures performed at the Institute of Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. From the reception area to the surgical suites, every inch of the facility is dedicated to our patients’ confidentiality, comfort and safety.

 As an accomplished sculptor and long-time supporter of the arts, Dr. Schmid wove artistic and architectural tastes throughout the office. In harmony with his love of art and the individuality of those who enjoy it, Dr. Schmid acquired an eclectic collection of classical and contemporary works by artists from Europe and North America. The original sculpture and paintings, as well as the limited-edition lithographs and serigraphs, convey uplifting themes of beauty, serenity and music, adding to the Institute's feeling of comfortable elegance.
